Hometown: Noblesville, IN
Major: Applied Physics and Mechanical Engineering
Co-op Employer: Feinberg School of Medicine, Dept. of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern University
Why I chose Kettering: "The promise of working six months of each year full time in a top research lab was too much to pass up, I felt I needed something more than simply being a student -- I'd done that for twelve years already. Graduate schools will be looking at a student who has more research experience than physically possible for a typical undergrad of the same age."
What keeps me busy while I'm on Campus:
"The leadership opportunities on campus are amazing. I am involved with Engineers Without Borders, Society of Physics Students, Allies, Professional Leadership Honor Society and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers."
"Kettering is good for you if you feel you need more than just schoolwork to be a truly effective force after graduation. If you thrive on exercising your independence and adaptability, and need to prove your potential as early as possible, Kettering will do wonders for you. If you are interested in any type of professional degree, you will be a standout applicant. If you wish to work immediately after graduation, not only will you have a great network with your co-op employer, but you will have years of work experience in your field and a heavy list of references." |
