Kettering University to Inaugurate Dr. Robert McMahan April 20 as University’s seventh president during ‘Celebrate Kettering’
Alumni, corporate partners, parents of current students, faculty, staff, students and friends are invited to Kettering University in Flint, Mich., on Friday, April 20, for one of the most important days in the history of the institution.

Provost Robert Simpson said the University will "Celebrate Kettering" during special ceremonies that culminate with the inauguration of President Robert K. McMahan as Kettering's seventh president.

 "April 20 will be a day of significance for our University," Dr. Simpson said.  "This celebration will focus on the accomplishments of our students, faculty, alumni, and our community.  Its highlight is the festive and colorful inauguration ceremony for President Robert K. McMahan.”

Celebrate Kettering - Friday, April 20, 2012

Noon – RSVPs are requested for guests attending the luncheon and keynote address in the International Room, Campus Center.  Seating is limited to the first 500 guests.  The keynote address will be presented by Mary Barra '85, senior vice president of Global Product Development at General Motors.

2 p.m. - Research and Innovation Showcase in the Campus Center

4 p.m. - The Inauguration of Dr. Robert K. McMahan in the Recreation Center.  RSVPs are requested.

5:30 p.m. - Reception in the Campus Center.  RSVPs are requested. 

7:30 - Student Festival in the Recreation Center (only for Kettering students and their invited guests)
